Let's Feel India - Gorkha Kitchen

Restaurant Review by K. S.

I'd like to introduce Gorkha Kitchen, which is an Indian and Nepali restaurant. The main menu of this restaurant is curry, but they don't have beef curry, because Hindus don't eat cow for religious reasons. This is why they eat mutton frequently. There are three kinds of curry using mutton in this restaurant. Mutton Curry (¥790) is the most popular in Nepal, Mutton Masala (¥820) is spicy curry using mutton and tomato, Sag Mutton (¥810) is mild curry using mutton and spinach. Mutton has a unique smell, but it's delicious. There are twenty-seven kinds of curry, including chicken, vegetable, keema and seafood curry. You can choose one of three ranks of hotness.

My favorite item is Nan which is like bread that is eaten often in the Middle East. It's  doughy and is delicious with curry. Nan goes especially well with hot curry. However please be careful when you choose the hotness of the curry, because the curry of this shop is very spicy. I usually choose level 1. My favorite drink is Gorkha Beer, which is made with Himalayan water that is rich in minerals. If you eat the A set (¥1320) you get two kinds of curry, salad, nan, rice, dessert and a drink. You will become full and you will be pleased.
